Sunflowers Uber Alles

As usual, by which we mean for three years in a row, the south side of the house has been lined with sunflowers. This year, about half of the sunflower forest has come up itself (the remnants of previous years) and the self-starters are enormous. The tallest has exceeded the roofline and must be about 14 feet tall. We've become known in the neighborhood for them. Now, if only the peppers would learn from their big brothers. But here's the debate: black and white or color?
